What experience do I need to become a GIRLKIN Lashes franchise owner?
We seek like-minded franchise owners who share our vision of empowering women through business ownership and community outreach. We provide an efficient beauty service that helps women feel confident. Some background in the beauty industry is a plus, but not required of our franchise owners. We are looking for business builders who are enthusiastic about the GIRLKIN Lashes brand and what it stands for, and who want to share it with their communities. Of course, we’ll provide the training, tools, and guidance you need to start a lash extensions business and operate it effectively.
What is provided as part of the GIRLKIN Lashes franchise program?
We want you to feel confident about opening your business in your protected territory. GIRLKIN Lashes will provide an initial training program for franchisees and one manager at our flagship location in Maryland. The minimum duration will be approximately five days. We will then provide an onsite representative for up to three days before you open to help train your stylists, as well as ongoing support and training. In addition, we will present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you start a lash extensions business and run it properly on a day-to-day basis.
How much will the GIRLKIN Lashes franchise program investment cost me?
The total initial investment necessary to begin operation ranges from $117,900 to $263,200 for a single salon location. This includes a $29,900 initial franchise fee. (Discounts may be available for current GIRLKIN Lashes employees, and other qualified female entrepreneurs.) As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchisees, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We charge a royalty fee equal to 6% of weekly gross revenue. Franchisees also contribute 3% revenue to the system marketing fund and are required to spend a minimum of $1,000 per month on a rolling quarterly basis on local marketing. Collected marketing fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is five years, with three subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
